By round 15 or so, the unit synergy a build should focus on should be clear and all units for alternate synergies sold. Preface: these builds' options are NOT for picking favorites - everyone can't have the same Level 2 unit at the same time! Whichever option a build sees more of it should take - until then, they should take as much of each choice as possible without gimping interest. And maybe read a different guide for them later haha. Items can make or break streaks! Use them frequently and wisely. What still works well regarding items at my basic level of understanding them is that making use of items immediately, selling expendable units to get items back and stacking up to 6 items mid-lategame on units that are doing the most damage (besides Attack Damage on mages or Magic Pen on units that don't do magic damage) is omni-important. I myself do not play DotA 2 and definitely am not entirely familiar with what items combine into what still haha. The guide does not include items only units. This guide is specifically for frequent Auto Chess players that want to get familiar with good unit-picking builds going in so that they don't become bogged down and confused as to what to buy along the way, or just don't want to get pubstomped. Builds will go for certain things like Druids or Knights but will quite often not be able to find them, and in those cases they look for other particular units that synergize with the rest of the build. This is not a beginner's guide! It is a list of unit-picking strategies to use alongside lots of interest-earning and very refrained rerolling to come out ahead lategame. A list of every unit build I've seen win convincingly over 50+ matches and additional 50+ hours of watching top streamers play.
